Grace Lutheran

The children were the entertainment at the first Frogs (Friends of Grace Lutheran School) meeting Monday. The students in upper-graders presented the play, "The Fisherman and His Wife." The preschoolers and lower-graders sang and acted out several of the songs they've learned this quarter.

The first quarter is over and parent-teacher conferences will be today and Thursday after school hours.

School will be in session Thursday and Friday.

The school will host a harvest festival from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. The public is invited to join for games, food and fellowship.

In Christlight, the children are continuing their study of the life of Christ. This week they learned how the people of Capernaum were amazed at Jesus' power in teaching the message of salvation and controlling evil spirits.

The first- through third-graders have completed its study of the various ecosystems and will now study how people live in different environments by studying the continent of Asia.

The kindergartners are learning about Christopher Columbus and his adventures.

The first-graders are reading and doing "hard" math.

The fourth-graders have been learning about the election process in connection with Scholastic News articles.

The preschool still has openings. For more information, call Joanne Love at 283-9551.
