Students were able to practice fire safety techniques with the Kenai Fire Department last week.

Thanks to all parents who attended parent-teacher conferences this week.

Students will have school Thursday and Friday.

Book It goals for the month of October are due this week. All students should have completed, signed reading forms to the office no later than Monday. November goals for each grade level will be sent home Monday.

Sharing this week included Jasmine Carter and Kanzetta Johnson bringing books about the human body and its systems; Tristan Bulot shared an anatomy apron; Kayla McVeigh shared a magazine picture showing the muscles of the body; Adaya Pollock shared information about healthy teeth; and Jacey Ross shared an old-fashioned shaving kit previously owned by her great-grandpa.

Congratulations to kindergartner Jasmine Carter for a great effort in writing class, first-grader Jacey Ross for a great job in reading class, and second-grader Tanner Wortham for being a great sport in physical education class.
