Skating offeredA “Fright Night” public skate will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Soldotna Sports Center.

Habitat fundraiser set

There will be a warehouse sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the mini-storage, 3.3 miles beyond the Bridge Access Road intersection. Doors, windows, lights and cabinets will be available for purchase. Cabinets also will be available at U-Haul in Soldotna.

Basketball camp set to shoot

North Peninsula Recreation and Nikiski High School basketball team will hold a youth basketball camp for youth in grades three through six from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Nikiski High School. For more information, call Tammy at 776-8800.

NRA fundraiser takes aim

The Friends of the NRA will host its annual banquet and auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai. Proceeds will be given to groups to promote firearm safety on the peninsula. Tickets are available at Gator Guns, The Impact Area and by calling 776-7676.

National Guard to host party

The Alaska National Guard will host a Halloween party for soldiers and their families from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Armory on Forest Drive in Kenai. Haunted house opens Saturday in Soldotna

The Triumvirate Theatre in the Peninsula Center Mall will have a haunted house from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Monday and on Halloween.

Admission will be $3 at the door.

Seniors serve up breakfast

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at the center. Buffet includes beverages. The cost of admission is $7.50 for adults , $5 for children ages 5 to 10 and $2 for children ages 2 to 4.

Art project exhibit

The Kenai River Council on the Arts will host a last chance reception to provide an opportunity to experience its collaborative project, “Taking on Water, an Installation” from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Kenai Fine Arts Center, 816 Cook Avenue, Kenai.

La Leche League to meet

The La Leche League will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Iliamna Room at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. For more information, call Olga at 260-6141.

Dinner theater set

The Kenai Peninsula State Fair will host a dinner theater performance at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the fairgrounds in Ninilchik. Ticket prices are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. For more information on the menu, play or to make a reservation, call (907) 567-3670. Family packages also are available.
