FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A Wasilla man with previous driving-while-intoxicated convictions was arrested last week south of Fairbanks.
Alaska State Troopers arrested Ernest Geisler, 42, on multiple charges after troopers after contacted him Wednesday at 336 Mile Parks Highway.
According to a criminal complaint, a trooper spotted Geisler standing in front of his pickup truck dumping out an ashtray and intended to cite him for littering.
After the officer contacted Geisler, he was charged with driving with a revoked operator's license and driving while intoxicated.
According to the criminal complaint, Geisler has six prior DWI convictions and his license was revoked until 2028.
Troopers said a further investigation revealed Geisler had a no-bail warrant on an original charge of violating a domestic violence restraining order. Geisler was jailed at Fairbanks Correctional Center.
