Raising pupil-teacher ratio should not be option for district

Posted: Tuesday, October 28, 2003

Overcrowding our classrooms is not conducive to learning. Class size is already too high, and the school board and district want to raise the PTR (pupil/teacher ratio) again.

Let's show the district that it cannot balance the budget on the backs of our children. If you can, please attend the school board meeting in Homer on Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Homer High School.

If you cannot attend, please e-mail school board members and-or call them and tell them you will not tolerate raising the PTR. Tell them to lower it to at least last year's levels so our children can be educated.
