ADAK (AP) -- An earthquake was felt strongly Monday on Adak in the Aleutian Islands, according to the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
The earthquake occurred at 8:42 a.m. and was situated 80 miles southwest of Adak. It had a preliminary magnitude of 5.5.
There were no immediate reports of damage. The quake was not strong enough to create a tsunami.
