Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday and Friday by appointment only. Conferences may be rescheduled at a later time by contacting your child's teacher.
Tracey Withrow, the district technology specialist, will be in the Dell Lab from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday to share information on Web sites and computer software that would supplement current curriculum.
The library is hosting its annual book fair this week. Books for all ages are available until 4 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Worsfold's class is in need of used board games such as Monopoly, Guess Who, etc. The game pieces need not be complete, as she is seeking 11 by 17 boxes for an upcoming class project. Also needed are large pine cones.
The Halloween carnival is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Friday. The prize raffle has more than 200 items for both children and adults. Featured adults prizes include four loads of gravel, fresh oysters, gift certificates at beauty salons and restaurants, power tools, a hydraulic floor jack, a Foodsaver (Vac550), a vacuum, camping gear, blankets, furniture, art work and cameras.
The following students will be awarded $10 in carnival tickets for their winning submissions in the Fear Factor Idea Contest: Joseph Malatesta, Casee Penrod, Chris Closson and Emily Culhane. The student' ideas will be used as the challenges for the event Friday. The staff congratulates them for their winning entries.
