Women should pay attention to an exchange between the incumbent president and Senator Kerry in the Sept. 30, 2004 presidential debate.
These two men revealed their opposing core beliefs about women's rights in just two simple sentences. In reference to his adult daughters, the president made a sexist joke: "I'm trying to put a leash on them (laughs)." Smiling, John Kerry wisely responded with a gentle confrontation, "Well, I don't know. I've learned not to do that, Mr. President."
The incumbent president has attacked women's rights through policy and appointments since he was inaugurated. It's clear John Kerry is the candidate who will support equal rights policies for women.
