Higgins challenging Young in U.S. House

Posted: Friday, October 29, 2004

With the Official State Election Pamphlet now in the hands of the voters, many Alaskans are wondering why there is no Democratic candidate running against Don Young.

Well, don't worry, there is! And that primary-winning Democratic candidate is Thomas Higgins. Check out www.VoteThomas.com for more information.

I am not in the pamphlet due to missing the June Division of Election deadline; my apologies. But fear not, a Democrat is on the ballot and that liberal Democrat is all over Alaska campaigning and listening to the people, something that our present representation fails to do.

Based in Anchorage, I have flown to Juneau; traveled the Parks to Fairbanks; the Al-Can to Delta Junction; the Richardson to Glennallen; and the Glenn back to Anchorage. (With more roads to travel and sky to fly.)

Also, fear not the word "liberal," it comes from the same place as "liberty." And I believe that the Bush Administration is abusing its powers for self-interest, not the people's interest.

I see the Bush Administration using fear to oppress our liberty and Don Young is not taking a strong enough stand against the theft, such as calling for the repeal of the U.S.A. PARTIOT Act.

Please check my campaign web site, e-mail me (Vote@-VoteThomas.com) or call 907-562-0228 with any questions. As your Representative, I will look toward the future not the for the profit.

"We must be the change we wish to see in the world."
