ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Two men have been arrested after shots were fired outside a downtown Anchorage bar, police said.
Gregory Rendon-Duarte, 19, is accused of firing the shots after he and Johnny Rendon, 26, were denied entry at the Soraya Club. The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, said police spokesman Ron McGee.
The bouncer refused to let Rendon-Duarte and Rendon in because they didn't have proper identification. McGee said Gregory pulled out a pistol and fired off some shots before the two ran away.
McGee didn't know whether the two men are related. No one was hit by the shots. Police stopped a vehicle driven by Rendon at Fourth Avenue and Cordova Street, and the two were arrested.
Rendon was charged with assault, four counts of reckless endangerment, drunken driving, and refusing to submit to a breath test. Rendon-Duarte was charged with four counts of assault and two weapons violations.
