The Anchorage Symphony presents a performance by tubist Mike Martinson at 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Atwood Concert Hall. On Nov. 7. at noon in the Z.J. Loussac Library public conference room there will be a Lunch and Learn program where the symphony's guest conductor, Barbara Yahr, and Martinson will have an informal, brown bag lunch discussion about the concert. On Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Atwood Concert Hall there will be preconcert lecture given by the symphony's education consultant, Susan Wingrove.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center will host its fourth annual All-Alaska Native Juried Art Show through Nov. 11. Exhibit hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The second annual Alaska Rock and Mineral Show will be held Nov. 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 pm at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel, 401 E. 6th Ave., on the second floor. Vendors, displays and kids' activities will be held Saturday. Admission is free. To rent table space or for more information, call Sharon at (907) 563-9229.

Tlen-Huicani from the capital city of Veracruz, Jalapa, will perform traditional Latin American folk music at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Atwood Concert Hall. Ticket prices range from $14 to $29.

The Anchorage Museum of History and Art has "Ready, Set, Go!" an exhibit of toys and games in art, through May.
