Longtime Soldotna resident Betty Ann Bloodworth, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. She was 65.
A celebration of life will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at the Soldotna Church of God, 105 Redoubt Ave. in Soldotna. Pastor Alan Humphries will officiate.
Mrs. Bloodworth was born Feb. 20, 1942 to Irvin and Doris Vicknair in New Orleans, La. She moved to Soldotna in 1965. She volunteered with the Soldotna Church of God and would cook for the church youth camp. Additionally she helped with the gift-wrapping at the mall. Mrs. Bloodworth was most recently employed at Hooligans Bar in Soldotna. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and crafting. She always said, "Treat others the way you want to be treated."
Her family writes, "She was loved and will be missed by all."
Mrs. Bloodworth was preceded in death by her parents and son, Timothy Boyd Bloodworth.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Gene Bloodworth; son, Richard Anthony Bloodworth; sister and brother-in-law, Lucia and James Ledet; and sisters-in-law, Barbra Shuttles, Brenda Kaye Bloodworth, Pat Martin, and Mildred Bloodworth.
