Gospel meetings continue

The Funny River Church of Christ gospel meetings continue at the church at Mile 0.25 of Funny River Road in Soldotna. The featured speaker will be Mike Willis. The last meetings will be held at 7:30 p.m. today and Friday. For more information, call Nathan at 262-7392.

Fall, Halloween activities slated

* A Fall Festival will be held at the Sterling United Pentecostal Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today with candy for the kids from "trunk-or-treat," games with free prizes, a bonfire and other activities. For a church fundraiser, hot dogs ala carte will be available. The church is on Swanson River Road at Entrada. Call 262-7240 for more information.

* The Kenai Christian Church will host a trunk-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m. today at 104 McKinley St. in Kenai. Live music, candy prizes, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese will be provided while it last. For more information, call Adam at 283-4559.

* Grace Lutheran School and Church will sponsor an October Fest from 6 to 8 p.m. today. It is open to the public. Food, fellowship and games in a German setting are planned. Costumes are encouraged. Community prayer service planned

A community interfaith devotional gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kenai Cultural and Visitors Center.

The purpose of the gathering will be to share prayers and holy scriptures in a unified spiritual atmosphere. For more information, call Debbie at 283-6650.

Music services to be held

Bluegrass musicians from the First Thursday Bluegrass jam will lead the music at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, Mile 0.25 of the Kenai Spur Highway across from Art Works. It is open to the public. The service will surround the festival of All Saints. Coffee and goodies are planned after services.

Lutefisk, lefse dinner set

Christ Lutheran Church will host a lutefisk and lefse dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the church at Mile 0.25 of the Kenai Spur Highway, across from Mykel's in Soldotna. A free will offering will be accepted.

Group gathers for support

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group. Attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.

Women's prayer meets for breakfast

The United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai hosts a women's prayer and share group at 7 a.m. Mondays at Charlotte's Restaurant in Kenai. It is open to all women.

Bible study continues

The Soldotna Day Aglow will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Cohoe and Farnsworth behind The Salvation Army store for prayer and Bible study Beloved Disciple, by Beth Moore.

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Nikiski New Hope Fellowship at Mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship.

The Nikiski Nazarine Church will hold a women's Bible study at 9 a.m. Saturdays at the church at Mile 18 of the Kenai Spur Highway. The eight-week Beth Moore class, titled "Stepping up," will be about Psalms. It is open to all women.
