Three Bulldogs tops at ACS Invitational

Led by wins from Lance Penhale at 112 pounds, Justin Tumbaga at 140 pounds and David Rorrison at 275 pounds, the Nikiski Bulldogs earned a 4th place finish at the 31-team Anchorage Christain School small-schools wrestling Invitational Saturday in Anchorage.

Other Bulldogs to place included Jordan McCaughey in fourth place at 125 pounds and Tyler Payment, who finished sixth in the 145 pound class.

The Seward Seahawks had three wrestlers place in the top-six, led by James Aase's third-place finish at 215 pounds. The Seahawks also got fifth-place finishes from Jacob Coots at 103 poounds and Coty Beck at 171 pounds.

Other peninsula schools included Ninilchik, which finished 22nd, Voznasenka (26th) and Seldovia (29th).
