Plenty of shoppers visited the remodeled store.

The parking lot filled fast as eager patrons anticipated the bargains in the newly remodeled Three Bears in Kenai at the Grand Opening. A chance to win a boat, door prizes and drawings for some pretty great gifts were plentiful. It was clearly obvious that those who had shopped at Three Bears previously were impressed with the new items, displays and the expansion of the store.

Dave Weisz, the Senior Vice President of Three Bears explained that the expansion of 16,000 square feet made it easier to keep more items in stock to avoid running short of those most requested items, yet capable of keeping the cost down and to provide more choices to their customers.

As you strolled through the store you were bound to see hundreds of items that were new. From an extensive office product department to the expanded produce department in a refrigerated room. You had opportunities to see hundreds of new items in stock, new items in the freezer and refrigerated sections as well as health care products, toiletries and hair care products. Plus, with the assortment that was offered and the new items added to the store, it was easy to see that one stop shopping was feasible at great prices. Case quantity is available so that saves many a trip to Anchorage for those items you can buy locally, but you can also buy conventional size items and still save.

I was taken aback as I glanced over to a section that had seasonal decorations available, only to notice a large barrel of Tinker Toys, the favorite toy of all baby boomers.( I was wondering where they were hiding the Pick Up Sticks.)

You could sit in recliners; buy smokers, gun cabinets, and office chairs, dining room sets to bedroom furniture or do early Christmas shopping with an array of gift items for everyone in your family. From wine and spirits, kitchen cookware to rugs and linens, outdoor wear, towels, meat and produce, and pet care products including dog and cat food as well as toys, snacks and beds for them. A whole section devoted to car care, household products and supplies. For the local business owners, a wholesale division is available with delivery. Many of the items you use in local restaurants and eateries are purchased right here locally at Alaskan owned Three Bears.

Most impressive at Three Bears was the attention you receive when shopping there. You have staff eager to assist you with those items you are looking for and also the overall cleanliness of the store is what makes shopping there a real pleasure. Friendly knowledgeable staff makes you feel that your visits are appreciated and when you have suggestions, you simply can write them down and put them in a box for management to read. There is always a fresh pot of coffee available as you enter the store and if you've visited the store more than a few times, you are recognized and greeted with a smileevery time. That's what living in a small town and shopping locally is all about.
