Greetings from Kasilof.
Today is super Tuesday, remember to exercise your right to vote.
Thanks to all the folks that came out to the third annual trunk-or-treat. A big thanks to Jim and Nancy Russell for their organization of the event.
Thanks also to the Decanter Inn's crew for their efforts with the haunted swamp. I will have a list of officials and prize winners next week.
Don't forget to get your Tustumena Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization cash raffle tickets. Twenty-one cash prizes, as well as the grand prize of $2,500 will be awarded to lucky ticket holders Dec. 11. To get your raffle ticket call me or stop by the school office.
If you haven't heard, Kasilof neighbors, the Kenai performers are presenting a classic thriller "the Uninvited." The last chances to see it are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at Charlotte's, River City Books and Coffee Roasters.
Teresa Gamble would like to remind Kasilof folks about the Alaska Junior Miss scholarship program. Application deadline is Nov. 22.
To find out more, visit their Web site at www.alaskajuniormiss.com or call Mary Green at 262-5495.
November is Native American heritage month.
The Kasilof public library hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30 to 6 p.m. The library received a donation of used books all the way from San Ramon, Calif.
The Fulgaro family sent their children's books on to the library after learning about us from our summer patron and south Cohoe resident Ed Kobak.
One of my favorite children's books was in the box, "The Rough Face Girl," written by Rafe Martin and illustrated by David Shannon. Stop by and check these donations out.
Happy birthday wishes go out to these Kasilof folks, Dalton "Bubba" Pearson, Don Jones and Lily Luke.
Celebrating their anniversary of 14 years are Tustumena road residents, Robin and Todd Hansen. Congratulations.
Thanks to the folks that send me their news. I appreciate it.
If you have Kasilof news you would like to see here, call or e-mail me.
Until next week, watch for moose and God bless.
