Longtime Soldotna resident Mavourneen Bridget "Molly" Nyland died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at her home. She was 56.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Soldotna United Methodist Church. A reception will follow.
Ms. Nyland was born June 8, 1949, in Bagley, Minn. She lived around the Bemidgi, Minn., area until moving to Soldotna in 1981 and worked as a bartender. She was known for her compassion, her love of life, a fine Irish wit and pink hair.
"She will be missed by all members of her family and friends in Soldotna, as well as in Minnesota," her family said.
Ms. Nyland is survived by her partner in life, John Cornell; siblings, Annie Lealos, Steve Lealos, Shawn Lealos, Jackie Munson, Tammy Bidwell and Mary Fogleman; children, Maggie Nyland and Laura Hatten; grandchildren, Alison Hatten, Samantha Bidwell, Christopher and Molly Nyland, Jaden Johnson and Mavourneen Bridget Bidwell.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
