ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A woman was killed in an apparent hit-and-run traffic accident in Anchorage over the weekend, police said.
Police did not immediately release the name of the victim.
The woman attempted to cross the Seward Highway shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by a northbound Ford Expedition. Police said the victim was wearing dark clothing.
The sport utility vehicle left the scene but witnesses recorded the license number.
A woman driving the truck was being questioned, police said.
