The Halloween carnival was successful and was sponsored by the Chapman Parent Advisory Group, the site council and numerous volunteers from the Anchor Point community. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the students throughout the year to increase academic and extra-curricular achievement.
Frog legs, anyone? Mrs. Demers' fourth- and fifth-grade students did not turn green as they dissected frogs. This scientific dissection and an owl pellet investigation are a few of the hands-on experiences incorporated into this life sciences unit.
Mrs. Austin's kindergarten and first-grade students turned into storybook characters. Snow White, Ollie the Cowboy Clown, Little Red Riding Hood, Tigger and many more paraded through the school in celebration of literacy. Reading instruction and read-alouds were a part of this event.
Under the direction of Carolyn Window, the band and choir students are preparing for their holiday performances.
