Volunteers make a big difference at center

Posted: Thursday, November 03, 2005

The LeeShore Center would like to extend its thanks to the United Way Day of Caring participants during the month of September and October. Our Sincere appreciation goes out to Wells Fargo volunteers Rebecca Sanford, Daphne Lindley, Karen Tynes, Mary Nell Larson, Wilda Bush, Kellie Trolz and Erica Summers, who painted the kitchens at our Transitional Living Center facility; Fred Meyer volunteer committee members Ronald Delaney, Pam Delaney, Jennifer Kiser, Sandra Flansaas, Melanie Samuelson, Linda Schirmers, Teresa Moran, Jeff Moran, Clint Hagel, Jennifer Hagel, Christopher Hagel and Matieu Hagel, who planted shrubbery and began to paint the fascia boards and LeeShore's administrative facility; and to Kenai Central High School football team members, coach Jim Montgomery, Michael Creighton, Jason Dambacher, Malachi Hopper, Dustin Stelljes, Stuart Stretch, Lane Koester-Backstrom, Michael Dormady, Tyler Chappell, Bill Chimphalee, Ju Kim, Carl A. Gourley, Travis Werba and Will Manuel, who cleaned out our shed and raked leaves at both LeeShore's administration and Transitional Living Center facilities.

Our volunteers are invaluable. Without their help, several projects would not have been completed prior to the first snow.

Barbara Waters, Volunteer coordinator, LeeShore Center
