Kenai Library supporters come through again

Posted: Wednesday, November 03, 2010

No matter what the economic climate, one constant you can count on is the support of the Friends of the Kenai Community Library. The Board of the Friends of the Kenai Community Library just held its annual dinner and raffle and it again proved to be successful through the efforts of the board and the support of the community.

A "thank you" goes out to all who purchased a ticket and attended the dinner and raffle event. The success of our efforts were insured by the participation of local merchants such as the Kenai Safeway, Home Depot and Lowes, who contributed to our sale of gift bags on Saturday night.

Also to be thanked are the staff of the Eagles Aerie #35355 for providing the location along with their excellent service and support during both nights of the event.

The Spur Highway Spankers again donated their valuable time to provide music for dancing on Saturday night and their presence was appreciated by all in attendance.

Lastly, we would like to recognize that all of this could not have been accomplished without the participation and support of the past and current board members who gave of their time to sell tickets to the event, volunteer for the work to set up and take down and generally guide this event to another successful conclusion.

All of your support for these many years will be culminating in the completion of the new addition to the Kenai Community Library in the spring of 2011.

Sal Mattero, President
