Amanda Marshall of Wasilla and Cori Handsaker of Kenai were married Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, in the reception hall at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center surrounded by 75 friends and family members. Joe Handsaker officiated, as a surprise for his son.
The bride is the daughter of Kerry Marshall of British Columbia and Deb Marshall of South Dakota. Amanda is a 2002 graduate of Skyview High School. Karli Woltering was the maid of honor and Lilly Espy carried the bride's train of her gown.
The groom is the son of Joe and Edie Handsaker of Montana. He is a 2002 graduate of Kenai Central High School. Cori is employed as a well tester for ASRC. Matt Super served as the best man.
The couple complemented the pale green and lavender wedding colors by making the flower arrangements themselves with lavender colored roses and carnations. Melissa, cousin of the bride, made four wedding cakes beautifully decorated with white scallops, rosettes, flowers to match the color theme and one with silver entwined hearts.
