Republicans in, Democrats out. But really, is there going to be any change? The answer is no. It's going to be the same ol' same ol'; Republicans trying to dictate what you do in your bedroom, what you do with your body and -- here's a newer one -- where you can worship your religion based on its proximity to a sight of a terrorist attack. Not to mention probably start another war that we don't need and will put us further into debt. Democrats will play themselves as defenders of your freedoms and will get re-elected in 2012. Then what? They will dictate what the market does, attempting Keynesian economics that got us into this economic mess in the first place (or at least made it a lot worse).
But will anyone try anything except voting for the other end of the same party (Republicrats and Democans)? Will anyone try and break from this two-party system that has, time and time again, proved that it will only make things worse, not better? The optimist in me says "Yes!" but the pragmatist in me says "No."
Sigh. Well, there's always hope people will check out a third party like the Libertarian Party, along with looking into people like Ron Paul and Bob Barr. Or maybe common sense really isn't that common after all.
