JUNEAU (AP) -- Gov. Tony Knowles stopped in London on Friday on his way home from a trade mission to Asia to discuss oil and gas opportunities with officials from BP.
Knowles is at the end of a 10-day trade mission to Japan and China.
Knowles spokeswoman Claire Richardson said BP chief executive John Browne planned to give Knowles an overview of BP's expectations for oil and gas development in Alaska. She said the proposed natural gas pipeline could also come up.
Knowles is scheduled to return to Juneau on Sunday.
