JUNEAU (AP) -- Juneau police said there are no plans to press charges against a former nonprofit official who admitted taking more than $2,000 from the group's bank account.
Shawn Blumenshine, 23, former treasurer of the Juneau chapter of Kids Voting USA agreed to repay the money. So last week the board of directors decided not to press charges against him.
Two board members resigned in protest.
Police said they won't pursue the matter because no one filed a complaint.
Assistant District Attorney Sue McLean said the district attorney's office probably would not take any action either unless the victimized group filed a complaint.
