Lunch program applications are available. Families are encouraged to fill one out. Completion of forms helps the school receive Title I and other needed funds.
The staff thanks the parents who attended conferences and visited the book fair.
Parent to Parent classes are from 6 to 8 p.m. Classes began Tuesday and will continue today, Tuesday and Nov. 12. Contact nurse Donna for complete information.
The school's Holiday Kindness project is looking for Redoubt families who need help this holiday season. Volunteers also are needed. The project is sponsored by the PTA. Forms were sent home and still are available at the school office. Parents volunteering or those seeking assistance should return the form to the school by Tuesday.
The site council will meet Nov. 12. All parents are invited to attend.
The holiday food drive begins this week and ends Nov. 21. Kid-friendly foods such as cereal, crackers, chips, peanut butter, soup, canned vegetables and fruit, pasta and dried fruit are suggested, but all nonperishable food items are needed. Donated items will be given to Redoubt families.
The Chess Club meets Thursdays after school in Mrs. Romberg's room. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Students must arrange for their own transportation home.
The school is selling hooded pullover sweatshirts on a preorder basis for $18. Forms are available at the school office and will be sent home with students. The deadline to order is Nov. 14. Sweatshirts will arrive prior to Christmas vacation.
Picture retakes should arrive around Nov. 15.
The staff and students thank the Soldotna High School cheerleaders, Ms. Peterson, the SoHi National Honor Society, the parents and community members who helped with the Fun Fest.
