On Friday, basketball white teams will play Nikiski at SMS with girls starting at 3 p.m., followed by boys. On Saturday, the maroon and silver teams will face Seward at SMS, with girls maroon starting at 10 a.m., followed by boys maroon, girls silver and boys silver. On Tuesday, the white team will face Kenai at 3 p.m., and the maroon team will be at SMS facing Nikiski at 3 p.m.

Report cards were sent by mail to families unable to attend conferences. If you don't receive a report card, call the office to make sure student fees are all paid.

Gold Card day off will be Friday.

All the teachers were able have a wireless portable network available to them at their stations during parent conferences. These laptop computers enable the teachers to access student information on the spot.

Student council and homeroom representatives have been selected. Many of the student council students were helpful during parent conferences, from serving complimentary coffee to guiding parents through the conference process.

The PTSA is in need of a treasurer. Plan to attend the next meeting at 5 p.m. Nov. 20 and let Linda Hibberd know if you can fill this position. All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting.

The next Fortnight will be Nov. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. Let the school nurse or the counselors know if you are able to chaperone.
