The Friends of the Kenai Community Library would like to thank the following individuals and organizations who helped make our recent raffle and fund-raiser a success: the library staff, Brenda Manka, Tommy Thompson, Aquio Purugannan, and the Board of Trustees for ticket sales; Joan Hansen and the Peninsula Clarion for publicity in the "Neighbors" column; KSRM for public service announcements; the Eagles Aerie No. 3525 for the use of its facility; Peggy Thompson, Wayne and Sharon Prentice and granddaughter Kelsey, Janet Brown, Megan O'Neill, Dottie Sanders, Dr. Paul Turner, DeWayne Benton, Pat Malone, Tim Navarre, Sal Mattero, Mick Eatherly, Brett Holt, Jack Alto, Jim Satathite, Jim and Nedra Evenson and Bill and Melanie Switzer for help with setup, decorating and cleanup; Megan O'Neill and Peggy Thompson for "doorman duty"; Dottie and Kent Sanders, and emcee and "the Staple guy"; Aquio Purugganan and his crew for a fantastic dinner; Copy Cats for ticket printing; and Mike Silba and the Music Box for the use of the sound system.
A special "thank you" goes to the Spur Highway Spankers and friends Sue Biggs, Jack Will, Rick Eppling, Dave Coleson and Joe Tromblee who generously gave their time and considerable talent in an enjoyable evening of bluegrass music.
