ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Two men were arrested and charged with running commercial marijuana grow operations in Willow and Wasilla, Alaska State Troopers said.

Mark K. Carter, 44, and Aaron L. Trenton, 30, were arrested last week. Both men were charged with four counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

The men were taken to Mat-Su Pre-trial Facility. Trooper spokesman Greg Wilkinson said Carter was being held on $20,000 bail and Trenton was being held on $10,000 bail.

Troopers with the Mat-Su Narcotics Unit arrested Carter after they found 182 marijuana plants under a high-intensity light system at a Willow home, according to Wilkinson. He said troopers arrested Trenton after they found 45 marijuana plants, growing equipment and firearms at a Wasilla home. Wilkinson said several of the weapons had been reported stolen.
