Kenai library friends say thanks for another successful fund-raiser

The friends of the Kenai Community Library would like to thank the following individuals and businesses who helped to make our recent raffle/fund-raiser a success: the library staff, Brenda Manka, Tommy Thompson, Bob Peters and the board of trustees for ticket sales; Joan Hansen and the Peninsula Clarion for publicity in the "Neighbors" column; KSRM for public service announcements; the Eagles Aerie No. 3525 for the use of its facility; Tommy and Peggy Thompson, Cliff and Kathy Heus, Wayne Prentice, Janet Brown, Emily DeForest, Megan O'Neill, and Jim and Nedra Evenson for help with setting up, decorating and cleaning up; Dottie Sanders for emcee duty and Kent, "the Staple guy"; Aquio Purugganan and his crew for a fantastic dinner; Copy Cats for ticket printing; and Mike Silba and the Music Box for the use of the sound system.

A special "thank you" goes to the very talented Spur Highway Spankers for an enjoyable evening of Bluegrass music.

And finally, we offer our sincere appreciation to the Kenai-Soldotna community for its continued support of this annual fund-raiser. Congratulations to Dan Van Zee, grand prize winner!
