'Lost in Yonkers' performed

The Kenai Central High School drama class presents "Lost in Yonkers" today and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium at the school. Tickets are available at the door for $5.

Memorial dart tourney planned

The Kenai Dart Association will hold a memorial dart tournament today through Sunday at the Eagles Aerie on the Kenai Spur Highway. Play begins at 8 p.m. today and at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to each event. Entry fees are $14 for singles or $24 doubles. Participants who preregister for all events by 7:45 p.m. today will get a discounted price of $64. Alaskans for Peace and Justice to show film

The Kenai Peninsula Chapter of Alaskans for Peace and Justice will hold showings of the film "Bowling for Columbine" at 6:30 p.m. today and at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kenai Peninsula College in the commons. A finger-food potluck will be held during the film with an optional discussion to follow. For more information, call 283-5950.

Mystery creek road to close

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge will close the Mystery Creek Road to vehicle travel Monday. For more information, call refuge headquarters at 262-7021.

Benefit hockey game scheduled

The Denali Ice Club will host a benefit hockey game between the Peninsula Mic Macs and the Peninsula Lynx at 7 p.m. Monday at the Soldotna Sports Center. Split-the-pot, raffles, a puck-chuck and a special performance by Aleta and Sylvia McEwen are planned. All proceeds will benefit the McEwen family. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children 17 and under.

PFLAG to meet

The Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. For more information or meeting location, call 283-4678.

Photographers guild to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Photographers Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Members will discuss Alaska WILD, a statewide exhibition of landscape and scenic photography on display at the center. The public is invited to attend. Swim team to hold tryouts

The Peninsula Piranhas swim team will hold registration and tryouts from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Kenai Central High School commons. All swimmers must be level four or above. Piranhas is an official U.S. swim team and follows all USS guidelines. For more information, call Will at 283-7476.

Aviation safety meeting set

The FAA Safety Program, in conjunction with Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation, will hold a Kenai certified flight instructor-aviation safety meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center.
