Blood donors needed

The Kenai Peninsula Center of the Blood Bank of Alaska, in conjunction with Nikiski Fire Station No. 2, will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at the station on the Kenai Spur Highway, near Nikiski High School. Donors should drink large quantities of caffeine free liquid and eat heartily before donating. One donor's contribution will help three Alaskans. For more information, call 260-5672.

Choir rehearsals open to public

Rehearsals for the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant's Christmas Eve Cantata are held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the church in Kenai. Recycling group offers forum

Re-Group will hold an open forum, "School Recycling Programs -- Past and Potential," at 6:30 tonight in the Soldotna High School teachers' lounge. Topics will include resource awareness and successful recycling programs at other schools. Re-Group aims to support and assist schools and communities interested in recycling programs.
