ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Wasilla teen-ager died early Wednesday when his pickup truck spun out of control and crashed into a cliff near Mile 71 of the Seward Highway.
The Alaska State Troopers said Gordon James Shanigan, 19, died at the scene from his injuries. Troopers say a passenger, Jacob Ennen, 18, also from Wasilla, was listed in critical condition at an Anchorage hospital.
Shanigan lost control of his vehicle and it crossed into the southbound lane before slamming into the cliff about 5:15 a.m., troopers said.
