PALMER (AP) -- A light earthquake shook a wide area around Tanana early Thursday, but there were no reports of any damage or injuries, the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center says.
The quake had a magnitude of 4.7, and was centered 35 miles southwest of Tanana, seismologist James Whitmore said.
The temblor occurred at 7:25 a.m.
''(There was) No damage we're aware of although it was felt strongly at Tanana,'' Whitmore said.
