JUNEAU (AP) -- The owner of an ice cream store was airlifted to a Seattle hospital after she was found shot in the head in the mall parking lot, Juneau Police said Friday.

Tuyet Hagerup, 44, was listed in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was expected to undergo surgery later Friday.

Police refused to identify Hagerup. The Juneau Empire obtained her name from interviews with her associates.

Hagerup owns the Big Dipper Ice Cream store located in the Nugget Mall. She was found lying in the mall parking lot with a gunshot wound to the left side of the head at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday, police said.

No suspects have been immediately identified in connection with the crime, said Capt. Tom Porter, police spokesman.
