Patrick McLane Babitt
Kasilof resident Patrick McLane Babitt died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at his home. He was 5.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church. Dave McElwain officiated.
Patrick was born Jan. 24, 2001, in Soldotna, to Jeff and Rachel Babitt. He was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Kasilof.
“Patrick was all boy. Loud and exuberant, he loved the outdoors, going barefoot and riding his bike. He loved playing with his brothers and running errands with his ‘Papa.’ He called his newborn sister, ‘My little sweetie.’ At the fabric store with his ‘Mama’ he would loudly proclaim, ‘Mama, look at this one, it’s bootiful!’ Patrick’s presence is already greatly missed, but we rest assured he is safe in the arms of Jesus and for that we are blessed,” his family said.
Patrick is survived by his siblings, Tomas, Sean, Liam and Callie Ann; grandparents, Tom and Kathy Babitt of Ohio and Eric and Carol Boehmler of Sterling; great-grandmother Ewing of Idaho; great-grandfather and grandmother Boehmler of Iowa, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
