Recycling group seeking members

Community members interested in being involved with improving local recycling options are invited to the Re-Group meeting at 6:30 p.m. today in the teachers lounge at Soldotna High School. For more information, contact Jan 262-5098

Fish and Game advisory meets today

The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Kenai River Center. Upper Cook Inlet finfish proposals will be discussed. The committee also is accepting hunting proposals for this area. Hunting proposals have to be submitted by Dec. 10. For more information, call Dwight Kramer at 283-1054.

Health center plans 1-day closure

The Kenai Public Health Center will be closed Thursday in observance of Veterans Day. For more information, call 335-3400.

Teen night scheduled at center

The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center will host teen night from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at the center. Music, dancing and a pool tournament are some of the planned activities. All teens are welcome. Admission is free. For more information, call Dawn at 283-3855.

Clothes giveaway slated

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will hold its last clothes giveaway until spring from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the house behind the church (go to the back door.) The new and used clothing is available for anyone in need of it. For more information, call 260-4825.

Kidney support group to meet

A support group for kidney patients, their families, friends and caregivers will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. For more information, call Judy or Bob Downs at 260-1903.

Fair trade craft sale planned

A Ten Thousand Villages craft sale will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 26 and 27 at the Soldotna United Methodist Church. The sale features handcrafted home decor and gifts made by artisans from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
