Church photos wanted

Is something special happening at your church? A fundraiser? Social? Study groups? The Clarion is encouraging central Kenai Peninsula area churches to send us a photo of your event to add to our Religion page.

A brief explanation of the photo, event and church, plus a contact name, address, phone number, who took the photo and when it was taken must be included.

Photos either can be color or black and white and may be e-mailed to news@peninsulaclarion.com, dropped off at our Kenai office at 150 Trading Bay or mailed to the Clarion at P.O. Box 3009, Kenai, 99611. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.

Lutefisk dinner planned

The annual “Lutefisk and Lefse” dinner will held be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church on the Kenai Spur Highway near the Soldotna “Y.”

Puppet drama featured

Matrix Church will feature a puppet drama titled, “Enough Corn for Thanksgiving,” at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Triumvirate Theater in the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna.

Also planned are a youth drama, music prizes and drawings for special Thanksgiving gifts.

Addictions group meets

Reformers Unanimous, a Christ-centered addictions program, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Clothes closet opens

First Baptist Church in Soldotna offers free clothing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in the garage at 119 Little St., off Binkley.

Kids’ night out planned

The Lighthouse Community Church hosts Kids’ Night Out from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays. Van rides are available. Children in grades kindergarten through six are eligible to attend. For more information, call 776-8234 or 252-4454.

Women’s Bible class planned

Women’s Kenai Aglow — worship, fellowship and Bible study will meet at 7 p.m. Mondays (except on holidays) at The Salvation Army at 210 N. Forest Dr. in Kenai.

Clothes available

Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.
