FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A Fairbanks man was charged with raping a live-in babysitter hired to care for three children, police said.
William Jones, 37, was arrested Friday and charged with first- and second-degree sexual assault. He was being held on $75,000 bail.
According to the police complaint, Jones held a knife to the babysitter's neck and raped her twice. The first attack allegedly occurred on Halloween night, with the second attack the next night.
The girl was seen at a hospital Nov. 5 and was treated for a bruised arm and a cut consistent with a defensive knife wound, police said.
Jones has denied raping the girl.
