Dance to benefit Twin Towers Fund

The youth program of Cook Inlet Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse is presenting a dance with music provided by the Mabrey Brothers Band and Crawl at the Great Skate in Soldotna today from 6 until 9 p.m.

Proceeds will go to the Twin Towers Fund. Admission at the door is $3 for individuals, $10 for families of four or more. Raffle tickets are $2.

Annual arts, craft fair continues today

The Soldotna High School PTSA annual arts and craft fair continues from noon to 5 p.m. today in the high school commons.

Immunization clinic schedule

There will be no immunization clinic at Kenai Public Health on Monday or at the Soldotna Elks Club on Nov. 22. For more information, call 335-3400.

Carnival for youngsters set for Friday

A preschool through sixth-grade "tool time, harvest carnival" will be held Friday from 5 until 7:30 p.m. at Aurora Heights Assembly of God. Tickets will be available at the door. Nothing costs more than $1. For more information, call 776-8723.

Historical society board of directors to meet

The Soldotna Historical Society board of directors will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at River City Books in Soldotna. The public is invited.

CPR and first aid training offered

The American Red Cross offers monthly classes for first aid with adult, child and infant CPR. The next class is Saturday. The cost is $58. For more information call 262-4541.

Preregistration is required. Course feels provide disaster relief to Kenai Peninsula families.

Christmas bazaar slated for Saturday

A Christmas bazaar sponsored by the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and AAL Branch No. 7310 will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Star of the North Lutheran Church, 216 N. Forest Drive in Kenai.

Handcrafted items and baked goods will be available. All proceeds benefit mission projects locally, nationally and internationally. For more information, call 283-4153.

Health center holiday schedule

The Kenai Health Center will be closed for Thanksgiving, Nov. 22.

Christmas festival announced

"Christmas Comes to Kenai" is scheduled for Nov. 23. Santa will arrive via fire truck to the Kenai Chamber of Commerce cabin at 11:30 a.m. Children are invited to bring their wish lists, sit on Santa's lap and enjoy complimentary cookies, candy canes and hot chocolate.

The Electric Light Parade begins at 6 p.m. Company, organization or group parade entries still are being accepted. The bonfire will follow, and the fireworks display will begin at 7 p.m.

Hospital service board meeting rescheduled

The Central Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service Area Board has rescheduled its regular monthly meeting for Nov. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the Iliamna room at Central Peninsula General Hospital. For more information, call 262-9892.
