ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A moderate earthquake near Talkeetna shook parts of Southcentral Alaska Monday morning.
The Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer reported the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.4 and was centered 25 miles southeast of Talkeetna and 55 miles north of Anchorage. It was about 30 miles deep.
The earthquake struck at 5:11 a.m. and was felt as far away as Anchorage.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, the Tsunami Warning Center said.
