Halloween dance great success
The Kenai Teen Center had a howling good time at the Halloween middle school dance on Halloween night. The dance was attended by 138 seventh- and eighth-graders from around the Kenai Peninsula. The teens listened and danced to music provided by the KKIS sound machine and DJ David Razz. We would like to thank our adult chaperones and teen center "referees" who volunteered their time to help us have a fun and safe Halloween.
The Elk's Club has generously and continues to support our dances at the Teen Center, as members Travis Steinbeck and Conrad filled in and helped chaperone once again. We also would like to thank Maria Iverson, Mary Copple, Kelly Moore and Rick McGlasson for their support. We would not be able to provide these activities for our teens without parents and volunteers. Parents are always welcome to drop by and check out what's going on.
We also would like to thank our high school students who gave their time to serve as "referees" to help the staff monitor the activities. Much gratitude to Chelsea Reid, Katie Stroh, Bobby Hering, Sarah Eckert, Jeremy White and Shawn Isaacs.
We would like to thank the teens who attended the dance and the parents who support them. The dance was a great time for all. The teens conducted themselves in a positive, responsible manner. We look forward to many more successful events and hope you will join us.
