Redoubt Elementary

The school is looking for families who need help this holiday season. Forms are available at the school office and should be returned by Friday. The holiday food drive ends Nov. 21.

The chess club meets Thursdays after school in Mrs. Romberg's room. All ages and ability levels are welcome.

The school is selling hooded pullover sweatshirts on a preorder basis for $18. Forms are available at the school office and will be sent home with students. The deadline to order is Nov. 21. Sweatshirts will arrive prior to Christmas vacation.

The site council meets at 3:45 p.m. today in the conference room.

Student council officers are Karen Senette, president; Jenna Redford, vice president; and Kelsey VanAntwerp, secretary.

The third grade is holding a bake sale every Thursday during lunch in November. Goodies cost 25 to 50 cents each, and pencils, erasers and other fun stuff costs 5 cents to $1. Proceeds will be used for the third-grade field trip to the Imaginarium and Anchorage Museum.

A sixth-grade choir and band concert will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 in the gym.

Students in kindergarten through third grade will perform a concert titled "Sights and Sounds of the Season" at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Soldotna High School auditorium.

The school is participating in the Big G box tops fund-raiser. Students are asked to collect Big G box tops and turn them in at their classroom.
