The Ninilchik staff and students thank the Kenai Peninsula Chapter of the Safari Club International for sponsoring a hunter education class and moose hunt in October. The school also thanks Ted Spraker and Richard Link for spearheading the project; teachers, Ludy Link and Chris Hanson for their dedication to kids; Larry Lewis for the gun safety tips from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game; Jeff Berger of Deep Creek Custom Packing for providing a facility to hang and process the meat; volunteer meat cutters, Bruce Hall and Wally Martin; and the Ninilchik Native Association and Cook Inlet Region for allowing the group to hunt on their lands.

The pool is open for open swim from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; for lap swimming from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays; for "Everyone Exercise" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; and for "Ladies Exercise" from 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
