Clothes ministry ongoing

The Clothes 4 U Ministry offers free clothing to benefit the community. The ministry is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at First Baptist Church Soldotna Mission House at 119 Little Ave. in Soldotna. Clothes 4 U accepts clothing donations only.

Aglow International meets

Aglow International meets every Wednesday at the Peninsula Christian Center behind the Soldotna Salvation Army. Childcare is provided for free. All faiths welcome. Coffee and visiting at 9:30, meeting from 10 a.m. to noon. The group is currently reading "The Love Revolution" by Joyce Meyer. The first Wednesday of every month we have a special speaker. Nikiski Aglow studies Matthew

Nikiski Aglow meets at Mile 23 North Road at Nikiski New Hope Fellowship on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. For the month of October it will be studying the book of Matthew. Contact Beverly Berdahl at 776-8022 for more information.

Kids invited to gather

Every first and third Sunday of every month, seventh- through 12th-graders are invited to hang out at the Peninsula Grace Brethren Church youth center from 6 to 8 p.m. to showcase their talent from singing to beatboxing and poetry, or simply to hang out and enjoy a beverage from its coffee shop. Broken Walls performs

Broken Walls will be at Abundant Life Church, at the corner of Mile 81.5 Sterling Highway and Otter Trail, in Sterling, on Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. This is a free event open to the public.

Broken Walls is a First Nations North American Band led by Jonathan Maracle dedicated to the principles of reconciliation and restoration. Study, fellowship, worship opportunities

Saint Luke Lutheran Church offers several faith strengthening opportunities during the week. The parish's Wednesday 10:30 a.m. fellowship/study is focusing on Numbers. The group attempts to cover one chapter a session and meets at 48095 Andrews Avenue for approximately one hour.

Wednesday evening activities take place at the Parish Hall, 43055 Kenai Spur Highway, and consist of a potluck fellowship, Vespers Service and detailed analysis of basic Christian doctrine, currently focusing on the relevance of ancient Christian doctrine for the 21st Century. The fellowship/potluck begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by Vespers at 6:30 p.m. and study from 7 to 8 p.m. The pastor also offers weekly homilies on the website in written and mp3 formats for those who cannot participate in any of the parish activities in person. Missions to benefit from holiday bazaar

Lutheran Women's Missionary League members and members from the South Alaska Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are hosting a Christmas bazaar to help mission projects locally, nationally and internationally on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Star of the North Lutheran Church, 216 N. Forest Dr., in Kenai. Baked goods and craft items will be on sale. Anyone can join in volunteer and educational activities hosted by Thrivent Financial. Catholicism classes available

Classes for anyone interested in the Catholic Church will be held each Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The classes are held in O'Neill Hall on Redoubt Avenue at 6:30 p.m. each week. Those attending will learn about the teaching of the Church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples.

This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA. Anyone interested in seeking this way of life may call the Rectory to sign up at 262-4725.

Christmas cookie sale begins

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ holds its 31st annual Christmas Cookie sale. Assorted Christmas cookies will be for sale by pre-order only. The cost is $5 per dozen. Orders for 50 dozen or more the cost will be $4 per dozen. Place your cookie order by Wednesday, Dec. 8. Call Liz at 262-5525 or Diane at 262-1714. Cookies are available for pick-up or delivery on Wednesday, Dec. 15. We are limited to how many orders we will be able to fill so call soon. Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas season.

Missionary work in Mexico shared

Interested in missions? Would you like to know how the Lord is moving in Mexico? En La Gloria Ministries has just returned from a precious work of the Lord in Oaxaca, Mexico. If you would like to hear more about what God is doing in Mexico and allowing En La Gloria to be a part of please come Monday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m., in old town Kenai. Everyone is welcome! Directions: turn at Paradiso's Restaurant toward old town, when you see the bingo hall turn left, it will be the first green building on your left across the street from the Oilers bingo hall.

New Missionary Baptist Church to meet
