Quake strikes near Attu Island

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A strong earthquake struck near the western end of the Aleutian Islands early Tuesday morning.
The Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer said the quake occurred at 1:43 a.m. It had a magnitude of 5.7 and was located 130 miles northwest of Attu Island.
The quake was seven miles deep.
There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
