Sterling resident Jean Woodson Flickinger died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. She was 58.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Sterling Senior Center.
Mrs. Flickinger was born on Nov. 24, 1942, in San Diego. She moved to Sterling in March 1983. She was a part-time bookkeeper at Chubby Chicken's Cheep Cheep Carpet.
"Jean will be remembered by her many friends at Millie's. She was happiest when whomping the guys at pool," her family said.
Mrs. Flickinger is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Flickinger of Sterling; her children Jennifer Callison of Castro Valley, Calif., and John Risley of Portland, Ore.; brother, Jerry Sharp; and sisters Julie Sharp and Susie Thierry.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel and Anchorage Funeral Home.
