MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Danny Fortson scored 20 points and had 22 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors held on for an 86-79 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

Reserve Chris Mills scored 17, and Bob Sura added 12 for the Warriors, who won their third straight on the road. Last season, Golden State didn't win its third road game until Dec. 30 against the Grizzlies in Vancouver.

Lorenzen Wright had 19 points and 15 rebounds, Pau Gasol added 16 points and Jason Williams scored 13 for the Grizzlies, seeking their first win as an NBA franchise operating in Memphis.

Jazz 105, Magic 98

SALT LAKE CITY -- Karl Malone scored a season-high 29 points, and Greg Ostertag had 14 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lead Utah over Orlando.

Malone and Ostertag helped Utah (3-5) avoid its worst start since the 1982-83 season -- the last time the Jazz missed the playoffs.

Darrell Armstrong had 18 points, and Tracy McGrady scored 17 for the Magic, who have lost four of their last five. McGrady, who didn't play the last half of the fourth quarter because of a shin injury, shot only 5-of-18 from the field and Grant Hill was 3-of-16.
