Chamber to hold luncheon
The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will have guest speaker Donna Peterson, Alaska 2003 Superintendent of the Year, at its noon luncheon today at Paradisos. The cost is $10.50, inclusive. The public is invited.
Transportation meeting planned

Dog racing association to hold meeting
The Peninsula Sled Dog and Racing Association will have its board meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bridges in Soldotna. A general meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m. All visitors and dog enthusiasts are invited to attend. Committee to focus on Kenai kings
The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will focus on the management of early run Kenai kings at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road.
Chapter to hold luncheon
The Alliance Kenai Chapter and the Kenai Borough RDC luncheon will host guest speaker engineer Dora Gropp of Chugach Electric Association. She will speak on "The Southern Intertie Project." Missionary sponsors bazaar
A Christmas bazaar sponsored by the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Thrivent Branch No. 7310 (AAL) will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Star of the North Lutheran Church, 216 N. Booster club to host bazaar
The Skyview Hockey Booster Club will host a Holiday Bazaar to help raise money for the hockey program. The bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at Skyview High School in the commons area. There will be a sketch artist, homemade crafts, a cakewalk, face painting and hair wrapping. Admission is free.
CES to hold board meeting

Community school offers classes
Homer Community School has openings for several fall classes. The Cross Country Ski Waxing Clinic covers all waxing techniques for new and used skies, classic and skate skiing. The class will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21 at Homer High School and costs $10. Healing Touch will help with relaxation and pain release, with techniques for home use. It is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at HHS and costs $5. Weed Basket teaches how to make wall hanging baskets. It is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 23 at Courtney's Cache in Homer. It costs $45. Latin American Literature is a bilingual course. Students need to pick up a novel before the class, which they will discuss in Spanish and English. The class meets at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4. and costs $20.
