Ken Lancaster of Soldotna rides with Brit, a 14-year-old Shih Tzu. Ken and his wife, Mavis Blazy, take their dogs for rides since Brit is getting too old to walk around. Blazy carries Megan, who is 10 years younger and a lot smaller than Brit, who they’ve nicknamed H.D. — Heavy Duty.
